About homeopathy

 

Homeopathy is a natural and holistic healing method discovered 220 years ago by a German doctor Samuel Hahnemann. It is based on a principle of treating  a particular diseased condition with a substance, which is in crude form able to produce symptoms (a reaction) similar to the diseased condition. Homeopathic remedies are prepared in a special way by diluting and dynamizing (by succussion) the original substance.

 

Homeopaths believe that symptoms of a disease are means by which the organism is trying to reach balance, in spite of the fact that they cause us some discomfort. Many times the organism does not have enough energy to overcome the disbalance on its own. Therefore we consequently stimulate the defence mechanism in the same way as it is trying to heal itself. The symptoms usually get temporarily worse after a correct remedy. This is called a homeopathic aggravation and it is followed by an amelioration and cure. With a carefully selected homeopathic remedy we help the organism to regain strength again and to be able to overcome the disease by its own defence powers, if it is still possible.

 

In homeopathy we look at the overall state of the patient on three levels: physical, emotional and mental. During homeopathic consultation a well trained homeopath is able to collect the most important information from all three levels and choose a remedy which fits (resonates with) the disturbance of the patient.

 

More and more people benefit from homeopathy and its healing powers these days. It is one of the most frequently sought-after healing method all over the world. There is no question that the effectiveness of homeopathy goes far beyond a simple placebo effect. A lot of infants or even animals have been successfully cured with this natural and gentle form of medicine.

 

 

About me

 

I am a classical homeopath (which means that I am a follower of the original teachings of the old masters like Hahnemann, Kent, Nash, Farrington or Clarke). I already came across with homeopathy in my childhood. At a certain point of my childhood, I was having frequent acute diseases and I was missing a lot of lessons at school (which I did not mind :) ). My mother took me to a homeopath, which was a very strange experience for a small boy who had had attended only medical doctors before. I remembered two things from the experience - the homeopath asked me very unusual questions and it helped me. Then I kept enjoying my childhood (in spite of the fact that I had to go to school more often again :) ), but later on, in my early 20's, I developed other complaints which were more serious than those in the childhood. I first tried to seek help with conventional medicine without success, then I went through several different alternative therapies with some success, but I finally remembered the homeopath from childhood and went to see him. Only then real deep changes in my condition started taking place. So, I had an immediate comparison of the effect of all the different therapies I tried and I could clearly see that homeopathy was by far the most effective. This made me want to know more about this therapeutic discipline and I finally decided to learn it thoroughly.

 

I first studied at a homeopathic college in my country (The Czech Republic) and after my graduation, I immediately enroled at the International Academy of Classical Homeopathy in Greece (IACH - www.vithoulkas.com), where my teacher was (and still is) the renowned contemporary homeopath Prof. George Vithoulkas. I am a diploma holder from the Academy and I keep attending seminars of IACH on the Greek island of Alonissos where Prof. Vithoulkas gives live lectures in person.

I gained basic medical knowledge in a government accredited medical course for paramedics and rescuers.

My services

​

I provide homeopathic therapy for children and adults. My consultation language is English. I consult via Skype, or in the Czech Republic in Prague, Brno, Zlín, and Pardubice (see the contact page). For skype consultations you need to have a webcam and a microphone. 

 

Average length of the initial consultation is 90-120 minutes. Usual follow-up takes about 45 minutes. To be able to manage your case correctly I need to consult with you approx. every 2-3 months (in most cases). When your condition improves, the intervals between follow-ups get much longer or the treatment is finished, and you can approach me again if you develop any complaints in the future.

My latest e-book is called HOMEOPATHIC MANAGEMENT OF SORE THROAT AND TONSILLITIS and it is a handbook for treating throat infections. The book contains 35 most frequently indicated remedies in cases of sore throat infections, with an emphasis on tonsillitis, which is the most frequent throat infection we come across with in our practice and which usually needs treatment. I present local throat symptoms of these remedies, but I have also added some general keynotes of each remedy, so the reader has hints for confirmatory questions handy. With some important symptoms, I have also included other remedies, which cover them, co the reader can differentiate bewteen other possible remedies.
